Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory-I

In this laboratory, students acquire the knowledge about the experiments based on qualitative and quantitative determination of impurities present in various inorganic compounds. The experiments in this lab are designed to learn and apply pharmacopoeial methods to carry out identification tests and assay of inorganic compounds. Distillation units and suction pumps are available in pharmaceutical chemistry labs. The lab is equipped with Chemical balance, Water bath (12 holes), Burette stand, Hot air oven, Tripod stand, Melting point apparatus, Sieve, Water bath (Copper), Hot plate.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory-II

Experiments performed in this lab provide practical knowledge of organic chemistry as these are designed to carry out the identification of physical and chemical properties and uses of various organic compounds.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory-III (M.Pharm.)

This well furnished laboratory provide facilities for practical training in pharmaceutical chemistry to M. Pharm. students.

Pharmaceutical Analysis Laboratory

This lab is equipped with apparatus required for pharmaceutical analysis In this laboratory, students learn about the modern methods of analysis and Good Laboratory Practice etc. according to pharmacopoeias and apply these methods in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of various compounds and drugs.

Pharmaceutics laboratory-I

In this well furnished laboratory, students acquire the knowledge of formulation and evaluation of various pharmaceutical dosage forms. The experiments are designed to cover basic topics related to development of formulations like preformulation studies along with principles of formulation design and evaluation of developed dosage form using official methods. The laboratory is equipped with dissolution apparatus, disintegration apparatus, friability test apparatus, capsule filling machine, magnetic stirrer,  tablet hardness tester, tablet counter, bulk density apparatus etc.

Pharmaceutics laboratory-II (Industrial Pharmacy)

In this well furnished laboratory, students acquire the knowledge of formulation and evaluation of various pharmaceutical dosage forms. Pharmacology Laboratory-I (Anatomy Physiology& Pathophysiology Lab.)

The anatomical diagrams, charts as well as working / non-working models of important tissues, organs and human systems, are displayed in this laboratory to facilitate the students for proper understanding of human anatomy and physiology. Various minor experiments are conducted on human blood to determine blood cell count, clotting time, bleeding time etc. Hypodermic syringes and needles are available for this purpose. Students also acquire knowledge about health education and procedures such as determination of Blood Pressure, pulse rate, heart rate etc. The laboratory is equipped with Haemometer, Haemocytometer, Dissecting Set, Sphygmomanometer, Thermometer, Stethoscope, Neubaur Chamber, Microscope, Spirometer.

Pharmacology Laboratory II

In this laboratory, students are trained in practical field of pharmacology. Experiments are designed to carry out bioassays of various drugs. Animal model experiments for various activities of known and new drugs of chemical and herbal origin are also carried out. Pharmacognosy Laboratory

Pharmacognosy lab provides adequate facilities for students to gain knowledge of natural products. For this purpose, experiments are designed for standardization of crude herbal drugs, determination of physicochemical properties of crude herbal drugs, identification of morphological and microscopical characters of cells and tissues in different parts of plants like root, stem, leaf, flower, fruit and seed etc. To perform all these experiments, the laboratory is well equipped with Compound Microscope, Dissecting Microscope, Projection Microscope, Camera Olympus, Camera lucida, Muffle furnace, Hot Air Oven, UV Chamber, Electric water bath, Muffle furnace, Heating mantle, Electric strirrer, Electronic microscope, Hot plate, Magnetic stirrer with hot plate, TLC Spray dryer, Micrometer IPC, Analytical balance, Electronic balance, Microtome, Mixer, Digital pH meter, Homogeniser with regulator, Soxhlet Apparatus, Clevenger Apparatus 250 ml, Reflux condenser.
